Hi, I'm Ryan.

Who am I?

I'm an aspiring minimalist, a fan of all noodle-based cuisine, and a firm believer that it's never too late for coffee, or too early for beer.

I'm an economist (LAX) turned seminary dropout (YVR) turned social marketer (HNL). This blog chronicles my ongoing search for enchantment in everyday life.

What is this?

Rachel Carson put it better than I can. Considering the stars in the summer Maine sky, she wrote:

“If this were a sight that could be seen only once in a century, this little headland would be thronged with spectators. But it can be seen many scores of nights in any year, and so the lights burned in the cottages and the inhabitants probably gave not a thought to the beauty overhead; and because they could see it almost any night perhaps they will never see it.”

There is beauty in the world around us, obscured by its common-ness. We are, I suppose, blinded by our richness.

Here and there, this is my attempt to reclaim the magic of the mundane. My wonderings and wanderings and ramblings, preserved.
